Great location for lunch with friends and family. Exceptionally kids friendly restaurant. The food and service was wonderful. Was only supposed to have lunch, we ended up staying for dinner as well.

Service is not so great here. First visit they gave our food to another table. Waited over an hour for food to arrive. Second visit they got my order wrong. I asked for no garnish on my burger and it arrived with it on. To my surprise the waiter told me to scrape it off. Luckily the manager walked past asking if we ok and after I explained that I wasn't he had a new burger made at the speed of light. Some redemption. Food is good, great vibe and love the lake side seating.

I was actually at Nicky's for thier date night event, so you have to go through the The Braai Room something that wasn't clearly said as the waiters seemed confused when we said we had reservations for the date night.Either than that it was a very lovely & intimate evening, the ambience was nice and the food delicious.Shoutout to Andrew for great customer service and attentiveness.

After not being able to come back to SA for the past 3 years due to Covid, I finally got back and my friend invited me to lunch at the Braai Room because we love the setting and it was fantastic when we were last there 3 years ago.. I ordered my 2 favourites, Chicken livers and Trinchardo... But I was so disappointed... The meat in the Trinchardo was cooked to perfection, but the sauce was so spicy I couldn't eat it. The manageress insisted that it was two different sauces, but I could neither see nor taste the difference. I asked for cream to try and tone it down a bit..my friend tried it and she almost choked..I just couldn't eat it.. We left and I bought a pie at the garage on the way home.. The Pina Colada on the other hand was fantastic! I'll definitely be back as the view is so peaceful, but will definitely be trying something else on the menu next time.

I absolutely loved vising the The Braai room on Saturday. Not crowed. Chilled atmosphere. I couldn't get the kids out of the play area. The play are is not very big but kids don't need much to keep them happy,they just need the right equipment to play.. Now for the food: when you get there please have the pap balls as a starter but if that's not for you there are other options. I don't eat meat but I knew my husband would enjoy the menu but I have to take a moment to salute Sipho our waiter. He did everything he could to organize me a meatless dish and I absolutely loved it.Friendly staff. From the lady that welcomes you to the waiters and waitresses. A warm greeting goes a long way. Oh did I mention how clean their toilets were. I was amazed. Basin taps were shinny and no dirt on the floors. We had a great experience. Thank you . We will be back.
